Activity / Interest Groups
Groups are an integral part of the u3a ethos and members meet together on a regular basis to enjoy subjects of mutual interest. The aim is to satisfy as wide a range of interests as possible, but this relies on members / volunteers willing to lead or help start new groups.
Venues
Our groups meet at various venues, locations and times. We take the safety of our members seriously and all groups are required to take care to avoid risks and when accidents occur to make a report. Safety is a responsibility of all members.
Our Groups
One of the main benefits of joining the u3a is the opportunity to participate in our groups. We have ten (10) active groups. Subjects are varied and range from physical activities such as Walking and Table Tennis while others are practical such as Craft and Digital Photography.

For more information about each Group click on the group name.
Please note that Groups do not always meet in August.

Would like to join our u3a but we don't have the type of group you'd like to join in with? There are a couple of options open to you:
1. Start the group that you'd like to be a part of and be the Group Leader (or possibly share that role with someone). Nervous about taking that role on? Don't be, there's support available to help you get going.
2. Join our u3a and take advantage of the 'CYGNet' scheme that we are part of in the wider area and have potential access to over 160 groups (as of May 2025) without the need to join another u3a as well. Details of that scheme here.
