Membership
Our membership year runs from 1st September to the end of August.
There are no changes to membership fees for 2025 / 26.
Membership Fees are:
£15.00 - Individual membership
£25.00 - Joint membership
£8.00 - Associate membership (already a full member of another u3a)
Included in the annual fee is membership of the Third Age Trust which provides a wide range of services and benefits, including liability insurance cover and subscription to the 'u3amatters' magazine. It is published and distributed five times a year, but you can choose (via our Membership Secretary) not to receive it if you so wish. Alternatively, if you would like to read it but not have a physical magazine delivered, you can do so via 'Screen Reader' editions - click here.
New - Membership cards can now be emailed, instead of being printed and laminated centrally, as part of joining or renewing membership. The Membership Secretary will provide further information at the appropriate time.

New Members
If you are no longer in full-time employment and would like to discuss joining Tadcaster & Villages u3a, please feel free to contact our Membership Secretary. You can also download the Members Welcome Pack, for further information, via the button to the right (Handbook format). An alternate format, for sequential page order printing, is available here.

TO RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP
- Membership renewals are due by the end of August. You will receive a reminder from the Membership Secretary at the start of that month with the relevant details.
- You can pay your Membership renewal by either:
- Bank transfer (the details of which will be included in the renewal reminder)
- Cash or Cheque at the September Members Meeting at the Old Boys Sunday School, Tadcaster. Please put your payment in an envelope clearly marked with your name and address.
Gift Aid
If you are a taxpayer please consider helping our u3a by completing the 'Gift Aid' Declaration form when applying for membership. Through this scheme Tadcaster & Villages u3a can claim a further 25% of the membership subscription at no additional cost to you. NB: You must have paid sufficient tax (Income and / or Capital Gains) to cover the total extra 25% that can be claimed from HMRC on these sums of money. Our Membership Secretary will be happy to discuss this with you when you join us.
