Group Information:
We read books from various genres. Most of us are fans of crime and thrillers but we are trying to broaden our horizons, e.g. over the last year we've read 'The Lamplighters', about three lighthouse keepers who disappear and the effect that this has on their families; 'The Twyford Code', a crime novel with a difference and 'The Vanishing Half', about black twins leading very different lives in America. Having read a book we all come together in the group to discuss our thoughts about it - always an interesting exercise.
We borrow books through the Library so there is no need to purchase titles. NYC charges an annual fee for this so we ask members of the Book Club for a contribution of £5 for the year which also provides a fund for refreshments at each meeting.
Please get in touch or call in at the Library on the second Wednesday of the month to find out more.
